Learning by sharing and comparing
Physical and intellectual growth - teaching students to become lifelong movers.
The first day was for meet and greet with traditional snacks, ice breakers and music. There was also a music concert by the hosting school.
(Music - facing the need of the new generation to develop listening comprehension and creative production skills through the use of non-verbal
languages, which facilitate dialogue and confrontation.) In the afternoon there was a guided tour around Acquaviva.
Other contents of mobility:
-A music ensemble workshop (as a place for participatory learning). An internationally mixed group practiced music together and recorded the performance of Beethoven's Ode to Joy.
-Sports sessions where students from all the countries could take part in outdoor sports (communicating without a specific language). There were sports matches for all the students and introduction to new sports in smaller groups.
-An art workshop: an international group of students created artwork inspired by the music of Beethoven and the theme togetherness.
-A language workshop: Students wrote an article in English on the places we had visited in Italy.
All these groups presented their work to each other in the auditorium.
Students and teachers were responsible for evaluating the quality of the project through a questionnaire on the last day of the mobility.
One afternoon the teachers were invited to visit a pedagogically designed school building of the partner school and to follow a debate lesson.
The idea of this mobility was to highlight the importance of practical subjects in the school of the future, and the benefits this brings.
